Thai Language and Culture

2. 10 p.m. – 3.00 p.m.
Thai Language and Culture is offered to all children at Kensington International kindergarten to help them learn and appreciate Thai language and culture. Thai language, in term of speaking listening, reading and writing, is taught for periods of one to three periods each week for Toddler, Nursery and Reception. Thai language and culture will be taught for five periods each week in Year 1. The Thai curriculum is developed in themes that correspond or are relevant, where possible to those taught in the classes.

Special cultural events such as Loy Kratong and Songkran, Buddhist day, arranged by Thai teachers, enrich the curriculum for all students. This is to ensure that children in Kensington will embrace the Thai values and culture as well as learning to read and write in Thai with fluency at their own level.
